A police officer’s career is ‘in tatters’ after a dangerous driver rammed into his car following a high speed pursuit.
Ismael Fareed, 19, has been jailed for his ‘appalling’ driving in Oldham, which left PC Ian Bruce hurt.
Fareed, from Oldham, rammed the stolen Mercedes into PC Bruce’s car.
The officer, who has nearly 25 years’ experience, suffered a knee injury and now can’t kick a football or run with his daughter, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
His injury has put an end to his career as an operational officer, prosecutors said.
