COUNCIL bosses are taking action to encourage development and investment across Glasgow in a bid to promote business activity throughout the city post Covid-19.
The City Centre Task Force (CCTF) has been helping reopen the economy as Glasgow emerges from lockdown while supporting a family-friendly place with net-zero carbon emission targets and plenty of vacant space for retail developments and traditional offices.
The CCTF is also considering adapting many properties in the City Centre to meet changed needs and demands in commercial property, housing, hotels and the night-time economy.
Some of the actions already delivered through the task force include deep cleaning of the City Centre, removal of graffiti and disinfection of street furniture in preparation for the easing of restrictions.
The aim is to create conditions that maximise the attractiveness of Glasgow and position it as the jobs engine room of the regional economy.
