British holidaymakers are set to splash out a staggering £108billion on trips with overseas travel finally returns to normal.
Research carried out by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), reveals travellers are planning to collectively spend almost £9bn more on holidays in 2022 compared to 2019 – an average of an extra £167.40 per year on international trips.
The study found that over half (56%) of those polled had fantasised about travelling again, with 55% already planning or booking their next trip.
Eamonn Ferrin, NCL vice president & managing director in the UK, said: “After more than a year of staying home, the nation can’t wait to explore the world again.
